Bauddha Grameen Bahuudeshiya Sahakari Sanstha Limited is the initiative of 25 youths of the Khampa community in Surkhet with the dream of up-lifting the poor and tribal communities, particularly those who had migrated from from the far northern districts of Jumla and Mugu. By providing basic savings and credits facilities, the organixation started serving the backward population in the far-flung, remote and hilly regions of mid-west Nepal from the year 2000. It commenced its microfinace program in 2006. With the objective of educating its members on savings, credit and microfinance it started providing financial literacy programs to its members. Its efforts has enhanced the quality of life of its members and the multipurpose cooperative has extended its services to Dailekh, Jajarkot and Jumla districts.
