Unique Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited is the initiative of a group of young Tharu volunteers who sought to uplift the socio-economic status of the indigenous ethnic Tharu, Dalits and other minorities in the Bardiya district. Since its establishment in 1995, the microfinance has engaged in numerous community development programs. It started its microfinance program in the year 2000 and has since been engaged in awareness building, need assessments and sustainable development through people's participation and empowerment. The team at Unique Nepal is dedicated towards advancing the economic, academic, social and political status of the underprivileged in the Bardiya, Banke, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts.
