Objectives:

To contribute to the dissemination of knowledge on the practice of sustainable microfinance and community development programs along with social mobilization initiatives in Nepal.



Activities:

CSD has been publishing a newsletter "Swabalamban Bikas Samachar" in a quarterly basis for last seven years highlighting the activities undertaken periodically by the institution.

CSD has updated its brochure. The booklet mainly focuses the organizational information and the areas CSD has been working with. Contents also depict the strength of organization. CSD extends to work together with other partner organizations.

This year CSD has celebrated 10th year of its anniversary. On this occasion, a publication "Smarika" has been published with a number of informative articles on community development activities, microfinance issues and other related matters.

CSD has been publishing quarterly wallnewspaper " Swabalamban Vitte Patrika" for last six year. The purpose of this wallnewspaper is to educate low education level community and disseminate the community based educational news/ information to rural masses living in the remote rural communities especially in the CSD program areas.

"Unnatiko Goretoma" is a book of case studies with successful borrowers engaged in microfinance activities. This book has a number of success case stories of those women members who joined Self-help Banking Program - a microfinance program from economic hardship in their family and have made significant progress afterwards in their socio-economic lives.
