A Training To Develop Positive Attitude

CSD organized a "Training on Self Development Management" from Nov 6 to 7, 2015 in ADBL, Regional Training Centre, Pipari Banke. There were 32 participants who were representing 8 different MFIs namely- Kisan Bahuudeshiya Sahakari Sanstha Ltd, Bauddha Grameen Bahuudeshiya Sahakari Sanstha Ltd, Grameen Mahila Utthan Kendra, Udaydev Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd, UNYC Nepal, EDCOL, Mahila Upakar Munch and Shree Gangamala Swabalamban Bachat Tatha Rin Sahakari Sanstha Ltd.

The main objective of the training was to develop self management skill, build positive attitude in participants and provide the ways of becoming effective manger. The training program was different from usual job oriented training as it has motivated the participants to develop the skills that will enhance their employability prospects, raise their confidence and lead to a more fulfilling, higher quality life in their profession.

The resource person was Mr. Prakash Kumar Pokhrel. He gave the concept of perception, attitude and behavior. Mr. Pokhrel made the participants aware about their own attitude and behavior and provided few tips on how to encourage positivity in life. He made the training more participatory and interactive through various group works. He urged all the participants to change their attitude of "I know it all" to "What new things can I learn next". He added learning attitude makes us look into the positive side of our life. This training has contributed in professional as well as personal growth of the participants. Mr. Pokhrel used more of Audio/Visual materials to make the sessions more interesting and comprehensible.

The closing ceremony was chaired by Mr. Dambar Bahadur Shah, Chief Manager of Kisan Bahuudeshiya Sahakari Sanstha Ltd. Mr. Shah thanked CSD for organizing such program to build positive attitude of human resources working in MFIs and giving him such an honor to be the chief guest of the program. He urged all the participants to put their learning into the action so that they can prosper along with their organization. He added we should not to drift away from the mission of microfinance which is poverty alleviation. He shared that he wants all the organizations to prosper and asked all the participants to put effort on enhancing the life of their clients. Mr. Shah finally wished the participants all the success in their life to become an effective manager.
